This computer is terrific in the kitchen. The screen is responsive and fun to use, and the HP TouchSmart software is also really fun. (There was a lot of "cool!" as we were figuring it out.) The recipe component of the TouchSmart app in particular seems really good, and the netflix app is well-designed and fun to use. I can also see this being great for people who have kids hanging out in the kitchen with them -- it seems like it would be really great for simple, interactive games for your kids while you, for example, cook. On the other hand, I can see this computer being a disappointment for someone who wanted a really fast computer -- while it is totally capable as an entertainment machine, it seems like it might not be that great for super-heavy business use. Of course, the lack of an i7 processor brings down the price, so that is the tradeoff. Overall very nice computer.

I have had this in our family office for about 4 months now and it has been rock-solid. Very fast, very sleek - the wireless keyboard and mouse work perfectly and reduce the clutter of cables dramatically. Poor man's iMac? I'll take it anytime!

Love it! Beautiful large screen, wireless keyboard and mouse. This is a replacement for a 6-yr old Dell and I love getting rid of the separate speakers, floor unit and all the cables. Its fast and easy to use. Have not used much of the "touch screen" capability yet. Windows 7 Home Premium so far seems pretty easy to get used to. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the dinky CD/DVD read/write unit that pops out on the side when you push the button. This was not documented in anything I got and I had the hardest time finding out how to insert the CD's I had to install software. Finally asked someone in an electronics store! Would be nice to have a basic manual that tells you how everything works on the PC. I would have liked to see a slot in the side to insert the CD/DVD instead of the cheap looking thing that pops up. That is the reason for the 4 stars.
